Microsoft innovative product IE8 when hit the market it was aimed to bring back its users and fight back for the share it lost. It was made to win it`s users back from Firefox the number 1 browser in many parts of the world, and make it good for a battle in which it has fallen way behind the edge for a very long time. But the other competetiors aren’t sitting either.
Microsoft was forced to offer its users a choice of browsers, it was caught sleeping while little known companies have released platforms with far greater usability and value.
Many users long believed IE is the only choice for surfing the Web. But now things have change and they are shifting their benchmark by which browser is best?
I give you the answer in the big browser survey. I tested the latest versions of Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari in : security, speed and functionality.
the result for which I have posted along with tis blog in an image
Conclusion
The survey ends in a close call, with Firefox slightly higher of Opera. As ealier, Firefox is the most stable browser; a perfect all-rounder with features that can be enhansed any time using add-ons. The most unique browser is Opera; however, the missing ignitio surfing mode is a setback. Safari is certainly fast and looks good, but cannot maintain its reputation with respect to security and the scope of features. Chrome lags far behind and has only smooth surfing. IE8 therefore goes to the rear. Although IE8 is far better than its predecessor, it is not good enough to defeat the competition yet.
